Documenting Freelance London

In 2017, I was commissioned by The Creative Society to begin a blogging project, to track the stories and gain understanding of the kinds of difficulties faced by those aiming to find creative employment in London.

Our aim was to pay attention to the issues that lead to the form of creative unemployment many are suffering at the heart of Britain’s economy, and understand the vastness and variety of the issues that trigger it.

Over the next six months, the project will encompass interviews, storytelling, and visual work from the artists involved in The Creative Society’s Step Up project, with the eventual aim to build a document of working life for creative’s in London, in 2017.

Work has involved interviewing participants, gathering visual work, planning, writing, and developing the blog itself, and will run through to November 2017.

You can find out more about the project via the blog.
